Week 8 Growth Mindset

I think some of the things I can work on in this class is using different writing styles, I typically just sit down and write and put a lot of creativity in the writing itself, but I never really change my writing style at all. Reading through the list I found myself applying half of the right and left statements to my life. But I think I can use this class to branch out In my writing skills and then transfer that into other things in my life. Some of these things include taking criticism better, taking more risks in different aspects, being a perfectionist, etc.

Week 8 Reflections

1.     Reading

I feel like I have been making good choices for the reading assignments, I like to find stories that have some action and are really easy to flip around and change. I think my favorite story I have read so far has been about Odyssey, it was just super easy to put some pop culuture references in their and change it up. I plan on reading stories about the apache tribe, Beowulf, King Arthur, Hunt, and Inferno

2.     Writing

For the most part I like the stories I have written for this class, sometimes though I feel like I don’t have enough time to get my story exactly where I want it due to other homework and tests. I really like the storybook project that I have chosen and have some good ideas for working on it in the coming weeks.

3.     Connecting

I really enjoy reading other peoples stories and see how they interpret the same stories I read and sometimes different ones. I mainly like how they try different writing styles in their storytelling and I wish I was able to do that with my writings. I think I have been giving and receiving very good feedback on my stories.
